Our third planning day was packed full of fun! Christine from Real Maine Weddings was there to keep things running smoothly and Shane from
Shane’s Wedding Photography documented the day with awesome photos!
Our first stop was at
A+ Party Rental to meet with Mark and Starr. We had no clue that Mark would be building tables from scratch in his workshop. We chose between different tables, accent tables, chairs, linens, and plates. Three plates were chosen for the public to vote on! They were so great to show us where all the hard work takes place! Thank you,
A+ Party Rental!

Second, we met Tenley from
Lobster Designs to choose beautiful pieces of handcrafted jewelry, tie and money clips, and cuff links for our wedding party. Tenley makes her jewelry from lobster, mussel, and oyster shells straight from the Maine waters! We loved her passion for her work; her designs are unique and beautiful. The public will get to vote on the shell type of a gift for the groomsmen. I’m excited for our wedding party to sport her designs! Thank you for a great time and sharing your passion with us, Tenley!

Next, we met with Terry from
Dube Travel and Katy from
Aruba. We had a great time talking about our honeymoon and booking our flights. We learned about the island, fun things to do on the island, and were able to pick out several excursions that we want to do while in Aruba! You all get to vote on what we definitely will do. We have heard nothing but wonderful things about the laid back island and both of us look forward to the R&R of our honeymoon. We also were impressed at the work that these ladies put into scheduling amazing vacations. We couldn’t have planned something so special without them—thanks to
Dube Travel and
Aruba!

We traveled into Portland to visit the home of
Sea Bags. There we met Kaki, Laurie, and Melissa. We were even able to bump into the lovely owners of Sea Bags and share our excitement with them! I have always LOVED Sea Bags. For those who don’t know, Sea Bags are totes, bags, and accessories made from sails of sailboats. While we were picking designs, we were able to watch a trade happen. A sailboat owner came in to trade his old sails for a few bags! Melissa explained the up-cycling that happens when the bags are made. The production of
Sea Bags has saved over 500 tons of sails from the landfill. I could barely handle the excitement of choosing designs for gifts for the wedding party, our bag guest book, and bucket bags for the aisle of our wedding ceremony. The public will get to choose the design for the bucket bags! I love them all so much. Thank you
Sea Bags for decking out our wedding.

We then traveled to
Day’s Jewelers, we met Leon, David, and Ray. They were essential in helping us find the perfect wedding bands and bridal jewelry for the big day! I felt like a princess. Justin picked three great bands for the public vote and I picked three bands to accent my engagement ring for a vote as well. Then it was onto the bridal jewels! You will get to vote for my bridal bracelet to go with the earrings and rings I have chosen. I loved all of the sparkles and bling at
Day's Jewelers!

Last, but definitely not least, we met with Jessica from
Zula Bell. She helped us come up with the perfect invitations to send to our guests! We chose beautiful colors and designs for the public vote. The tiny details of these invitations are going to make them pop, and unlike anything else! Jess has a brilliant mind for design. We enjoyed looking through her inventory and previous invitations. Wow! She knows how to make impressions and set the bar high for an event with invitations. Thanks, Jess! We can’t wait to see the invites!

We were both exhausted from making so many decisions for our day. Our conversation on the ride home included how grateful and lucky we are to have these passionate vendors helping us on our wedding day. This is all truly dream for us! We can’t get over our excitement! Our next full planning day is on the 25th! Stay tuned for venues and the kick-off party.
