This weekend was a whirlwind of fun in Bangor! We started our planning on Saturday by meeting with Beth, the Maine Wedding Artist. We were completely blown away by her talent! Justin and I were able to pick from several intricate designs to go on our lighthouse-shaped buoy favors. We can’t wait to give these to our guests. They will be fun to vote on too! Beth was so creative and open minded to ideas.  A HUGE thank you to Beth for sharing her beautiful art with us!

After meeting with Beth we went to The Henry’s Bridal Boutique and Formal Wear. Many of our bridal party members were present to pick out the tuxes and bridesmaid gowns. Justin and his groomsman decided on styles and colors, while three of my bridesmaids grabbed a bunch of dresses and headed towards the fitting rooms. Dave and Molly from Henry’s were incredibly gracious and helpful. We loved working with them.

After many buttons, zippers and pins, we decided on three stunning bridesmaid’s dresses and the guys chose a tux that was handsome and looked sharp. Justin was surprisingly into dressing up and looking “fancy” for our wedding day. We can’t wait for the public vote to see what the bridal party and Justin will be wearing. Henry’s had the most comfortable couches and an accommodating staff to make for a great evening of planning. Thank you Molly and Dave, we appreciate your support and guidance!

The guys rode back to Southern Maine while the girls had dinner and went to the hotel. I did not sleep a wink. I was too anxious for the following day!
We arrived at Blush Bridal and Formal to meet Karami and Lorraine. They really know everything there is to know about wedding gowns. I was impressed with their knowledge, and felt like they knew exactly what I wanted. They did everything to make sure that I was comfortable and felt beautiful.

I had never tried on a wedding gown before and they steered me in the right direction to find the top 3 dresses. The coolest part was that these gowns were part of an Essence of Australia and Stella York trunk show. I had a lot of fun with my friends, family, and the employees of Blush. It was a great day. I felt confident and truly myself when I tried on my final 3 dresses!
Patrick McNamara was there to capture the best moments of the weekend! We are looking forward to seeing the pictures. It was one we will never forget thanks to our awesome friends, family, vendors, and Real Maine Wedding crew.  Saying thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it!
