Victoria had seen Josiah around town, but didn’t know him that well. When she ran into his uncle, she gathered the courage to ask about Josiah. He passed along his nephew’s telephone number, and the couple has been inseparable ever since.
Josiah proposed during a trip to Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth. The couple immediately started planning their country wedding in Victoria’s hometown of Limerick.
“Our wedding theme was country rustic, and a little redneck,” Victoria says. “The groomsmen wore shotgun shells as boutonnieres and we filled a canoe full of ice cold beer.”
The couple was married at a private residence. The morning of the big day was filled with last minute preparations. Victoria, her mom, and her bridesmaids gathered to have their hair and makeup done before the couple’s First Look photo session with Autumn Photography.
After gifting their daughter with a pair of diamond stud earrings, Victoria’s father walked her down the aisle. Dinner was filled with toasts and a surprise dance featuring the groom and his mother. Guests enjoyed lawn games before saying goodnight to Victoria and Josiah with a sparkler send-off.
In Her Words
We asked the bride more about her big day. Here’s what Victoria said…
I didn’t realize…how fast the day was going to fly by!
One of my favorite moments was…seeing my husband-to-be waiting for me at the altar.
I really liked…the food!
My advice to other couples is
…focus only on you and your significant other. It’s your day, no one else’s!
