Anthony asked Tyler to marry him at the gorgeous La Fortuna Waterfall in Costa Rica. The couple had met in Ogunquit, Maine, and decided to hold their wedding in nearby Kennebunkport.
“With Tyler being from northern Maine and me from Westchester County in New York, Kennebunkport was equal distances for family and friends that were attending our wedding,” Anthony says. “Plus, we love the coast of Maine!”
Anthony and Tyler held their wedding ceremony and reception at the Cape Arundel Inn. “The morning started with a quick breakfast with our families,” Anthony says. “We then rushed to get ready for a short photo shoot of Tyler and I getting dressed for the big day.”
Friends and family began arriving at 11:30 and cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served until 1 pm. The ceremony was held on the lawn at the Cape Arundel Inn with a picturesque view of the ocean.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed a fantastic lunch prepared by Chef Pierre, which was followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the place where Anthony and Tyler met—Mainstreet in Oqunquit.
In Their Words
We asked the grooms more about their big day. Here’s what Anthony and Tyler said…
We didn’t realize…how great it feels to say I married the man I love.
One of our favorite moments was…our vows.
We’re glad that…the weather cooperated. It was an amazing day!
We really liked…the intimacy of our ceremony and luncheon.
Our advice to other couples is
…slow down and enjoy the day!
