Jared’s parents set their son up on a date with Mallory. It didn't take long for the couple to become inseparable. “We knew this bond was special,” Mallory says.
Once Mallory met Jared’s daughters, Carlee-Mae and Alyson, bonds began growing quickly and soon they were all partaking in family activities without hesitation. “When we look back and see how our lives unfolded over the years to bring us to this point in time together, we knew it was meant to be,” Mallory says.
Jared decided to take advantage of a trip with Mallory and his daughters to New Jersey and New York City to propose. They were planning a pre-Christmas trip to meet Mallory’s family and see the city. Jared decided to propose on the anniversary of their first date—December 19—during a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park.
The couple chose to have their engagement photos in Norway, Maine. “Jared was born and raised in Norway and we’ve been living here together since September 2014,” Mallory says. “There is so much beauty in Norway that isn’t seen as many drive through on Route 26. We are honored to showcase it in our engagement shoot.”
