Tanya and Chuck met by chance at his class reunion. “Basically I crashed the party,” Tanya says. They were both in relationships with other people at the time, so nothing came of the chance encounter.
The following year Tanya and Chuck ran into each other again, and they were both single. “I’m a hairstylist and I gave him my business card, telling him he had a bad haircut,” Tanya says. Their relationship officially began soon after.
“As life goes, we were in for a ride of losing parents, grandparents, and a sibling,” Tanya says. The loss of loved ones helped the couple grow closer, becoming best friends and soul mates. “We grew stronger as a couple as we dealt with losses that came one after another. Chuck’s son and daughter from his previous marriage made us a tighter unit as well.”
Chuck surprised Tanya with a proposal on her birthday in 2013. “I’m 41 years old, a late in life bride,” Tanya says. “It was worth the wait! I’m marrying an amazing man, father, and professional.”
The couple are both from Wells, and decided to have their engagement photos taken at the beautiful Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm.
