I woke up for our second planning day with lots of butterflies in my stomach, as I knew what was ahead of me that morning. We were going to be starting the day at Blush Bridal & Formal
looking for my wedding dress. It is one of the moments that many women dream of from the time they are a little girls. I knew I was in good hands as I had some of the most important and influential woman in my life accompanying me on the journey. These women helped shape me into the woman I am today and I was so thankful that they were going to be apart of this day.
Once we arrived at Blush Bridal in Bangor
we were warmly greeted by the manager, Kristin. We went upstairs to meet the rest of the wedding team, which included Melanie and Christine from Real Maine Weddings, and Shane from Shane’s Wedding Photography
. We also met Courtney, the owner of Blush Bridal. She had a way of making me feel very much at ease, as I was nervous for the journey ahead. She truly was interested in what I had envisioned seeing myself in. I was looking for something, classic, romantic, and most importantly something that I felt comfortable in. We walked through a sea of wedding dresses and came up with a handful to try on. They were all so beautiful in there own unique ways.
After trying on a few dresses I was amazed by how talented Courtney was. She really listened to everything I felt about the dresses until she found one that was absolutely perfect. She truly wanted me to find the dress that made me feel comfortable and beautiful. I don’t think I could have found the dress I did without Courtney’s help. She takes the time to get to you know you and makes you feel instantly comfortable. I know finding a wedding dress is a right of passage for most women, and Courtney makes it the most pleasant experience. She is such a professional and talented woman who deeply cares that you find your perfect dress. I’m so thankful that I was able to share such a special moment with some of the most important women in life. It meant so much to be that there were apart of that journey.
After we found three dresses the public will vote on, I joined Phill in the lobby who was already meeting with Laura from The Maine Square
. She was such a pleasure to meet. She had such a positive and kindhearted disposition. I felt like I could have talked with her all day. Laura had handcrafted the most beautiful creations. She had made pocket squares, ties, and bow ties for Phill. They truly were works of art. I loved how graphic and vibrant they were. I felt like each had there own unique personality. Laura has such an amazing attention to detail, right down to the stitching on the pocket squares. You truly can sense Laura’s passion for what she does through her beautiful creations. We can’t wait to see what she creates for us on our special day, as I know it will be amazing.
Our last stop of the day was Day’s Jewelers
where we met LT and his team. They were very helpful and knowledgeable as they guided us in picking out our wedding bands and my wedding jewelry. As someone who doesn’t wear jewelry often, it was nice to have such knowledgeable and talented individuals helping me. They had so many beautiful options to choose from. Phill had a great time looking at wedding bands with LT. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the team at Day’s Jewelers
Our second planning day was one that I will certainly never forget. We are so grateful to all the talented & professional vendors that are truly making our dreams come true on our wedding journey. We could have never imagined in a million years that we would be able to have an opportunity like this. It truly means the world to us!
