We woke up early on Sunday morning and were off to meet with the talented and creative Jessica from Zula Bell in her amazing Portland waterfront studio.

Jess knew exactly what colors and styles to use to incorporate the theme of the wedding into the invitations and save the dates! Her vision was spot on and she worked with us on every detail to make sure our wedding stationary suites were perfect! Russ and Liz from Russell Caron Wedding Photography met us at Zula Bell and were excited to show us our pictures from the save the date photo shoot on Sunday! We really were able to see exactly how our save the dates were going to look and the pictures were fantastic. We are so thankful to Jess at Zula Bell for being so attentive to every detail and creating three beautiful invitation examples for voting and making our pretty save the date magnets!

Our next stop was to meet with the spectacular Laurie at LA Design Lab (It really is a lab equipped with a separate warehouse stocked with something to bring every woman’s dream wedding to life!) in Portland. It is a real challenge to try and capture in words just how phenomenal Laurie was in putting together the flowers and design for this wedding. She is without a doubt going to awe all of our guests with her beautiful vision and designs.

Every time we turned around, Laurie would be talking with her assistant, Gail, adding yet another amazing custom piece to the wedding and it made us feel truly special. John and I felt like kids in a candy store as we walked throughout the warehouse, eyes wide in wonder at all the beautiful furniture and wedding décor! At the end of the day we left so excited thinking about all the furniture, flowers, and other beautiful custom equipment that will be at our wedding! We feel so grateful to the women at the LA Design Lab for all of their amazing work and talent!

As if the day could get any more exciting, it was now time to pick our wedding bands! We headed to Day’s Jewelers next where we were greeted so warmly by Heather and the staff who presented us with a bottle of bubbly and a box of wonderful gifts, including a beautiful pearl bracelet that I immediately fell in love with! We started shopping for John first, who fell in love with some beautiful white gold wedding bands. Their selection was so nice and they had something gorgeous for every price point. I told Heather I always envisioned matching my engagement ring with a band and she was so accommodating. She helped me narrow it down to a few beautiful rings. I cannot wait to have one of these forever as a symbol of our love!

After this experience we moved over to another area of the store to view some of their beautiful bridal jewelry! I can’t wait to see what jewelry the public chooses for us to wear on our wedding day! A big thank you to all the staff and Heather at Day’s Jewelers for making us feel so special from a champagne toast to the amazing rings and jewelry, it was truly a fantastic experience.

Last but not least we met with the lovely ladies at Savvy Event Rental who really had us covered for the tables, chairs, and place settings. Kelsey and Hailey also helped us pick out some of the table linens and runners. Everything they had laid out for us fit perfectly into the theme of the wedding (those rustic wooden farm tables are the icing on the cake). The staff was so friendly, kind, and helpful, and we can’t thank them enough. It was a perfect ending to yet another perfect day of wedding planning!

After a whirlwind of a day, we were exhausted and headed back to Boston on cloud nine. We can’t wait to come back to Portland to add the finishing touches during our last two planning days!
