What a whirlwind of a day we had in York as we traveled between all of our wedding venues!

We began with a 10 am meeting at the beautiful Union Bluff Meeting House. We met up with Christine and Melanie from Real Maine Weddings, Amber from Sweetest Thing Weddings, and Darlene from Union Bluff. Shane’s Wedding Photography was there to capture the moments of us being serious and silly.

The Union Bluff’s ballroom and view are stunning! We felt like we were planning a second wedding. We were able to choose from different food stations that will change throughout the Welcome Party. Darlene was incredibly helpful in our decision-making. Our friends and family are going to love celebrating the beginning of the wedding weekend. We know they won’t leave hungry or thirsty, the Union Bluff is going to knock their socks-off!

Next, we went over to the Stage Neck Inn. As Justin and I drove down the road to the inn, the beauty and reality hit us. We will be married at this unbelievable place. We met Dawn, who kindly showed us around the grounds. The ceremony site is breathtaking as you can look out over the rocky coastline. We are hoping for great weather! The cocktail hour will be full of yummy hors d’oeuvres and drinks for all to enjoy as they watch the sunset in the harbor. The Stage Neck Inn has just been remodeled and is amazing. We are so lucky to share our first moments as husband and wife at the Stage Neck Inn

Third, we traveled right down the street to Foster’s Clambakes and Catering. We met with Kevin, Beth, Jenna, Cheryl, and Cherie. We had a big meeting in Foster’s deciding on food options, lighting, decorations, set-up, and layout specifics. This team of incredible vendors is going to transform Foster’s into a venue that feels vintage nautical with a romantic twist. I’m honestly so excited to eat too, I will not be skipping out on dinner! Cherie is also a designer and the owner of Salty Girl and the Long Dog. She is creating amazing driftwood accents including table number sailboats, an arch, and signs for our day. Her work is incredible and it’s easy to see how much she loves doing it! Justin and I are beginning to put all of the pieces into the big picture. We are anxious to see everything together on the big day!

Less than a mile down the road was our rehearsal dinner site, the Dockside Restaurant. Talk about great views! We met with Phil and discussed an awesome menu for the rehearsal dinner. Then we discussed centerpieces with the brilliant Autumn from Flour! She easily dreamt up nautical ideas for the rehearsal centerpieces. It was great to talk to her about her process of floral design. We were able to walk outside along the docks and enjoy the beautiful day. I could have spent the rest of the day there laying by the water and soaking up the sun. The pictures we took of the grounds around the Dockside were stunning. We live in such a beautiful place with beautiful people!
